Well, what a year we all have had! One thing I can control is my Christmas Day feast.
I am very fortunate to have come from a large family. While growing up, Christmas was a three day celebration from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. Between my Mum and Sisters, we all chipped in with the preparation and cooking of the food and had around twenty at the table.
Now with my own family and wanting to take on the tradition of what I had growing up, I found that I was also catering for up to around twenty happy faces. The first few years were ok but when my young children wanted my full attention, I found I was not looking forward to Christmas. Most of my time was being taken up by all the preparation of buying, cooking and not spending that special time with the little ones. I still carry the guilt of this but I’m sure my children haven’t even thought about it!
I happen to mention to a friend on how I felt about Christmas and she then recommended a solution to all my anxieties and suggested a company called Cook. She had used them for a while now and highly recommended them.
I have to say I was a little sceptic. How can you get food from frozen and not compromise the taste and texture. Something had to give, do I keep on dreading this time of year or do I relieve myself from certain traditions!! It was a no brainer, I had to give it a go and guess what, I have never looked back!
For the fifth year in a row, I have now ordered my Christmas dinner from Cook, a Kent based company. I book my order on-line and their site allows you to book your slot for delivery that is closer to your required date. Cook will also send a notification at what hour they will be delivering between. Most of the food can be put directly in the oven from frozen and you are supplied with easy step by step cooking instructions.
Some may say I’m cheating using pre-cooked and frozen meals (saves shopping, peeling, prepping), however I have found that Cook delivers quality sized portions for value verses some traditional High Street stores. This year I’m swapping the traditional Christmas Turkey Crown for a Beef Fillet & Béarnaise and of course with all the trimmings .
For those who are unfamiliar of Cook checkout their website below, not only do they do a delicious Christmas spread but they also do food for all occasions, all year round.
BTW, my policy is that I only endorse products that I would personally use! Besides, why not promote a British made product/company that is located in my backyard of beautiful Kent? They also offer a New Years selection of food as well.

Have a (guilt free 😂😂) Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!!!
