Fitness Is Ageless

The most important thing about fitness is feeling like you want to do it, not doing it because you feel you have to do it! You need to find the style of  exercise that makes you feel good.

Never do exercise to please others, this is one of the biggest mistake people make, you need to be 100% committed. For some, the thought of going to the gym can be a little intimidating, so start outside, go for a walk, jog, whatever floats your boat!!

Combining fitness as well as healthy eating into my routine not only has helped me physically be stronger but it has help be mentally too. You don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to reap the benefits. Think of it like this, we take care of our car, we take care of our home, why not take care of You!!

I would be lying if I said I didn’t get those days when it would have been easier for me to put my feet up and watch TV all day. We all get those moments and thats ok! However, it depends if a day then turns into a week! 😀 For me there’s nothing better than that feeling you get after doing exercise, it really does uplift you.

When I first started I couldn’t even do one press up. Now when I reflect on how far I have come, it brings a smile to my face. I’m not hear trying to blow my own trumpet, I’m just saying anything is possible at any age!

Proof is in the pudding!! Pictured here with my 93 year old Nan who unfortunately was widowed in her early fifties. She kept physically fit by doing odd jobs around the house herself. She didn’t own a car so walked most places and kept her mind fit with crossword puzzles and board games. She was a real inspiration to me!!

What has been your motivation??

Please leave your comments below, I would love to hear.
